We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial IT Innovation & Development Projects Leader, strongly operational minded, with expertise in software development, ERP systems, ideally in the industrial sector, to join our client, worldwide independent manufacturing company, with 11 production sites worldwide with HQ in Luxembourg (North).
Direct report to the CFO, you will lead various transformation and improvement projects, such as software and ERP implementation and/or migration, Industrial IT implementation/development, data’s collection and analysis. More generally, you will show strong initiative capabilities in identifying improvement opportunities for business and operations. You will also actively contribute to harmonise and standardise group tools, processes and policies.
This role requires the ability to interact (oral & written) in English and French at professional level, as you will collaborate with international teams across multiple countries.
The role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, cross-functional management capabilities and a strong understanding of enterprise resource planning systems to drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.
Job based at HQ in north of Luxembourg – Travel on production sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & cross-functional Management:
Lead Projects and closely collaborate with IT and operational teams,
Strengthen a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Project Management:
Plan and prioritize IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget,
Monitor project progress, address risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders,
Manage vendor relationships related to ERP and software development tools,
Provide expertise in Project Management tools.
Software Development:
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications,
Managing applications lifecycle in line with the defined target architectures of the group,
Ensure standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes are adhered to.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
ERP Systems:
Manage the implementation, customization, and maintenance of ERP system,
Ensure ERP solutions align with business processes and objectives,
Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues promptly.
Strategic Contribution:
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies,
Identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage,
Assist in the development and execution of the IT department’s strategy.
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, SQL, Transact-SQL & ERP certifications) is a plus.
Relevant experience in leading IT Project Management, including software and ERP systems development.
Proven experience in cross-functional management with technical teams (IT and operations).
Hands-on experience,
Strong understanding of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo or others),
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.),
Proficiency in system integration, data migration, and process automation,
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills,
