PLANT MANAGER (M/F)

Role:
Plans, directs, and coordinates all manufacturing activities of a large facility, including production, materials, quality control and manufacturing engineering, quality assurance/control, planning & logistics, human resources, environmental, health and safety, finance, information technology, in order to manufacture products in the most cost-effective way, while meeting client’s requirements.
Main responsibilities:
Leads Management Team of the Plant
Defines the site strategical plans, propose them to the group and apply/follow them
Responsible for plant and distribution production goals, putting in place and following up of KPI’s.
Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance group standards.
Maintains plant safety and equipment to ensure compliance with governmental regulations
Prepares and submits operating reports to management to inform them of current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Assures effective customer service and relations with the different markets of the plant through timely delivery of quality products.
Optimize production in accordance with the forecast
Initiates plans and LEAN related processes which minimize manufacturing & distribution costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, material and capital.
P&L accountability for the plant.
Profile:
Master degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required
Fluent French and English, German is a real plus
At least ten years’ experience in directing and managing a large manufacturing facility
An operational experience in automotive sector with strong LEAN related approach
Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to make decisions and take initiatives
