Our client is a world leading steel manufacturing group - The job is based in Longwy (Fr, 54)
You will be responsible for day-to-day marketing operations as well as supporting in achieving commercial objectives of the units in terms of targeted sales, revenue and profitability, customer service, relations and satisfaction. You will be accountable for designing and implementing strategies for business development and support the company’s overall growth as per corporate strategy, values and philosophy as well as the needs of the market, clients and community.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Support and sustain sales targets in terms of volume, price, market share and profitability
Be responsible for strategic planning and development, branding, market research, customer service and sales management
Market studies and continuous analysis of economic trends and purchasing habits with respect to the organizations and its competitors’ products
Monitor and manage pre- and post-sales support and back-office functions for exports and
domestic regions
Plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets as per organizational goals
Oversee and coordinate product management, development as well as public relations, media
advertising and promotion
Ensure the organization’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives
Manage allocation of sales volumes in order to maximize profitability
Recommend changes to pricing policy, including price levels, sales conditions and special pricing agreements
Promote and establish positive company-customer relationships
Management reporting for sales & marketing, sales forecasts and business development
Close coordination with operations and production planning to ensure compliance to customer requirements in terms of delivery and service
Encourage effective leadership and personnel development, through education and training programs, as per existing guidelines and according to established goals and budgeting forecasts
Profile :
Masters’ degree in Engineering or Business administration or any other relevant field
10+ years of relevant experience within a senior Sales & Marketing level in manufacturing
3-4 + years of experience in steel industry would be an asset
Outstanding organizational and planning abilities, with a hands-on execution style
Creative and knowledgeable in a variety of disciplines, such as marketing, production, information technology, legal and finance
Good analytical skills, you quickly understand high-level concepts and you are able to synthesize information and highlight key messages, with a clear and understandable storyline
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
Good interpersonal skills, you are keen to ask for information, raise questions to have full understanding of matters, and you genuinely like to convey messages to others
Proven experience in successful day to day management of a team
Capable to interact with different types of people at all levels in the organization, build solid cooperation with all parties involved in the production at mill level− Track record of developing comprehensive and highly successful marketing and business development strategies
Proficient in the implementation of standards and processes
Permanently looking at ways to improve project management processes and practices, scoping new projects/campaigns
Experienced in tracking and reporting
Able to work with tight deadlines, challenging and fast changing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Fluent in French and English. Any other language would be an asset
