Our client, major retail and services group in Luxembourg, is looking to recruit its
General Manager (M/F/X)
As General Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure that it is operating efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for managing a team of sales/marketing and technical service professionals (>100p), as well as developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive growth and profitability and in a cost control approach.
The General Manager is also the first representative of the brand on the Luxembourg market, and must develop and maintain a strong network in the circles of economic decision makers.
Some key tasks and responsibilities in this role may include:
Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies: you will need to create and execute strategies to increase revenue and market share. This will involve identifying new market opportunities, developing promotional campaigns, and creating sales targets in order to maintain the brand's reputation, products quality and services at the highest level of recognition.
Managing and leading the sales and services team: You will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing the performance of the sales and technical service teams. This will involve setting clear goals and expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and creating a positive and motivating work environment.
Monitoring and analyzing sales and market data: You will need to regularly review sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales and marketing strategies accordingly.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and suppliers: You will need to cultivate strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure the continued success of the business. This may involve attending trade shows, networking events, and other industry events.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards: you will need to ensure that the company is complying with all relevant regulations and industry standards. This may involve developing policies and procedures, conducting regular audits, and working with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Overall, the role of a General Manager requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, being also financially literate to be fully P&L responsible. 15 years global experience in a commercial environment with at least 5 years as General Management role.
Ideal candidate needs to live in Luxembourg, with French, English & German fluent speaking mandatory and ideally Luxembourgish.
